May has been great! Personally. But for books….eh. I wasn’t able to read a lot of books, but we’ll read work on that this summer. So goodbye may! Welcome June! Here’s the book recap for June.
BOOKS FINISHED
Lucifer is doing his business in Hell; torturing people, looking for souls, and tempting mortals until God send a message. Lucifer can come home on one condition, he has to live life as a human in the body of Declan Gunn (an anagram for Glen Duncan, very clever). Seems pretty easy for the Prince of Darkness right? Turns out, its not.
Lucifer realizes that he has to play by the rules. He can’t be evil while he lives on earth. It’s an adjustment, but you know, gotta do what you gotta do. All this time though, is it worth it? Will God really accept Lucifer after all this time?
Yeah, only one book… not too good but June is looking hopeful. I’ve started audiobooks again, so that will help me tremendously. As far as book additions, I tried to keep it to a minimum this month.
NEW TBR
The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
I’ve been craving to read this book because of the new series. I know this book is a classic but I never understood what it was about. I’m very interested about this book and show.
American Gods has made Neil Gaiman super famous recently. So I checked him out and realized he wrote Stardust which is also a movie that I love. You know, the book is always better than the movie, so we’ll see how it compares.
As of right now, I’m currently reading A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab and listening to 11/22/63 by Stephen King.
I own Stardust too and keep telling myself I’ll read it one day. I just want to see what the hypes about with Neil Gaiman.
